The Faculty of Homeopathy, founded in 1844 and incorporated by act of parliament in 1950, is a membership body for statutorily registrable doctors, nurses, midwives, dentists, pharmacists, podiatrists, osteopaths, chiropractors and vets who incorporate homeopathy into their day to day professional practice. We have over 500 members worldwide, though the majority are in the UK. The majority of professionals in the Faculty practice privately.
Our members are expected to retain a high standard of skills and knowledge to practice, keep up to date with new methods and always have to follow the code of conduct outlined by their statutory body.
LFHom stands for Licentiate Member of the Faculty of Homeopathy. These members have a basic understanding of homeopathy and have undertaken an introductory course.
MFHom stands for Member of the Faculty of Homeopathy. Members with this qualification are fully qualified in homeopathy and can treat patients with chronic and complex conditions independently (without supervision).
FFHom denotes a Fellow of the Faculty of Homeopathy, an MFHom who has been nominated for fellowship for services to education, research and advancement of homeopathy, and will be amongst the most experienced members of Faculty.
